Dr. Maureen Markle-Reid, RN, PhD, is Associate Professor and Canada Research Chair in the School of Nursing, and Associate Member, Department of Health Evidence and Impact, McMaster University. Her research program focuses on designing and testing new tailored, person-centred interventions that will transform health care services for older adults with multimorbidity and their family caregivers, with an emphasis on large scale, sustainable implementation.

Dr. Jenny Ploeg, RN, PhD, is Professor in the School of Nursing, and Associate Member, Department of Health, Aging and Society, McMaster University. Her research has focused on the evaluation of health services for older adults with multiple chronic conditions and their family caregivers, as well as the evaluation, sustainability and spread of best practice guidelines.

Drs. Markle-Reid and Ploeg are Co-Scientific directors of the Aging, Community and Health Research Unit at McMaster University. The Aging, Community and Health Research Unit is funded by the CIHR Signature Initiative in Community-Based Primary Healthcare.
