My professional interests lie in the intersections of academic research and applied policy work. My focus is on the ethical and policy implications of business activities in healthcare settings, including examinations of the purchasing and procurement mechanism in public sector organizations, and the roles and responsibilities involved in the commercialization of health research.
My current work at the World Health Innovation Network, University of Windsor, focusses on innovation procurement in the health sector. This work examines new models of procuring innovation in Ontario’s health care organizations, and creates the evidence of value and efficiency in procurement processes. I have also done work to create a vision for High Performance in Ontario’s Health Care System for the Ontario Hospital Association, and worked to develop a Public and Patient Engagement Strategy for the Ontario Health Technology Advisory Committee.
