Impact

Dr. Witek spent the core of his career in the pharmaceutical industry with positions ranging from bench science to clinical research to chief executive officer. Early in his career, he studied the effect of environmental and occupational contaminants in patients with lung disease, contributing to scientific basis of ambient and industrial air quality standards.

Ted's current area of focus is integration of technology into health systems. While the pharmaceutical industry has built strong bridge over the 'first valley of death', he is working to develop frameworks and the associated competencies to better integration into systems in order to foster health and happiness.

Ted received his MHP from Yale, his DrPH from Columbia, and his MBA from Henley. He is an accomplished photographer who publishes and exhibits widely.

Recently, Dr Witek has been evaluating knowledge, attitudes, and behaviours of health care professionals regarding cannabis and vaping. A specific focus is the need for truthful and balanced promotion based in sound science.
