Healthy Cities in the SDG Era

JANUARY 27, 2021

Healthy Cities in the SDG Era is a newly launched podcast about the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and how research at the University of Toronto is helping to achieve them. Hosted by Dalla Lana School of Public Health (DLSPH) faculty Dr. Erica Di Ruggiero and manager of DLSPH’s Centre for Global Health, Ophelia Michaelides, the podcast gives context to the ongoing research and progress towards achieving the SDGs in Canada, and adds new perspectives to these discussions.

Dr. Sara Allin, NAO Director of Operations, is a guest on the podcast’s second episode “Good Health and Wellbeing.” Sara discusses areas in the Canadian health system that are in most need of change to achieve good health and wellbeing for all, lessons from health systems in other countries, and the ways in which the COVID-19 pandemic has caused priorities to shift for both health systems and policy makers.
