St. Michael’s names chair in Inner City Health

Dr. Ahmed Bayoumi, Post-Doctoral Research Fellow, Department of Health Policy, Stanford University; M.Sc. (clinical epidemiology), University of Toronto; MD, University of Toronto

Dr. Ahmed Bayoumi has been named the next Fondation Baxter & Alma Ricard Chair in Inner City Health. The chair is a joint partnership between St. Michael’s and the University of Toronto, where Dr. Bayoumi is a full professor with IHPME and the Department of Medicine.

This endowed research chair allows an international leader to focus on teaching and evidence-based research that addresses some of the more difficult issues in providing health services to the disadvantaged.
