Esta Wall Award of Excellence in Gerontology

Purpose

An award for students who have provided outstanding leadership and made the most significant contributions in the field of geriatrics, gerontology or long-term care. This is a merit-based award.

Ms. Esta Wall was a health care leader, strategist, consultant and mentor, dedicated to creating a warm, welcoming and respectful place for seniors. She was an IHPME graduate of the Health Administration Program (1978) and tutored in its health policy classes for many years. In the last 20 years of her career, Ms. Esta Wall was the Executive Director of the Bernard Betel Centre, a place of learning and wellness that empowered seniors to lead active, creative and healthy lifestyles in a Jewish environment.

Nomination

Nominations can be either self-identified or provided by a faculty member.


Submission

A letter which demonstrates how the candidate meets the conditions identified above. The statement of eligibility [inclusive of the nominee’s CV] can be submitted by either the nominee or the person providing the nomination. Candidate’s full curriculum vitae.
