Introduction to STATA®

Abstract: This tutorial will provide a basic introduction on the use of STATA software for statistical analysis. The workshop will provide an overview of: data management, summary statistics, estimating linear regression models, post-estimation commands, among other topics. No previous experience using STATA or any other statistical software packages is required. Please come prepared with a laptop computer equipped with STATA.

Michael Sherar is a PhD candidate at the Institute for Health Policy, Management and Evaluation. He has been a senior management analyst for a Regional Health Authority and a bureaucrat in the Ministry of Health in Saskatchewan. He is currently a Centre Fellow at the Canadian Centre for Health Economics (CCHE-CCES) and a research associate at the North American Observatory on Health Systems and Policies (NAO).
