Celebrate the Life of Dr. Jack Tu

Join colleagues and friends at a celebration of the life of Dr. Jack Tu on the evening of Thursday, November 1, 2018 in the Health Sciences Building Room 610.

Dr. Jack V. Tu Memorial Award for Excellence

Dr. Jack Tu was an outstanding leader in the cardiovascular research community the field of health services and outcomes research, achieving many national and international accolades. He was also a teacher and mentor to many at all stages of training and education exemplified by his constant goal to train the next generation of health services and outcomes researchers in Canada.

To memorialize Jack’s legacy and to support the training of future leaders in health services research, ICES, the Dalla Lana School of Public Health at the University of Toronto, Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre, and the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Toronto have jointly endowed a new award, the Jack Tu Memorial Award for Excellence. We hope that this award will commemorate Jack’s commitment to training future generations of young researchers, and serve as a reminder to students of his important legacy.
