CIHR Equitable AI in Public Health

Will artificial intelligence (AI) technologies help eradicate health inequities, or will they exacerbate them?
This priority research question is increasingly being posed, yet the answer remains unclear. Please join us for this special event which will bring together three leading scholars in AI, public health, and responsible research and innovation to help to move this conversation forward.

Speakers

Profile of Rumi ChunaraRumi Chunara, PhD, SM is an Assistant Professor at New York University, jointly appointed at the Tandon School of Engineering (in Computer Science) and the College of Global Public Health (in Biostatistics/Epidemiology).


Profile of Bernd StahlBernd Stahl, PhD, DSc, LLM, MPhil, MA, MSc is Professor of Critical Research in Technology and Director of the Centre for Computing and Social Responsibility at De Montfort University, Leicester, UK.


Profile of Andreas ReisAndreas Reis, PD, MD, MSc is the Co-Lead of the Global Health Ethics Team in the Division of the Chief Scientist at the World Health Organization (WHO) in Geneva, Switzerland.
