With this conference, we seek to question whether the Canadian and global public health community has considered environmental harm to our planet as a fundamental public health concern. Indeed, could environmental harm be the public health issue our time? This question challenges students, academics, community members, local and global organizations, decision-makers, and key stakeholders to reflect on the impact environmental harm has on population health, the relationship between the environment and health equity, and the importance of recognizing this public health priority.
