Lucy Barker is a Psychiatrist and Early Career Scientist at Women’s College Hospital, an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Toronto, and an Adjunct Scientist at ICES. Dr. Barker’s research focuses on the interplay between reproductive health and mental health, and on equitable access to reproductive mental health services. Current research projects include the co-development and evaluation of a sexual and reproductive module within early psychosis intervention care, and health administrative data-based research on perinatal adolescent mental health.
Dr. Barker completed medical school at McMaster University (2013) and residency training in psychiatry at the University of Toronto (2018). Following residency, she completed a PhD in Clinical Epidemiology and Health Care Research at the University of Toronto (2023) and a research fellowship at the University of Toronto and Women’s College Hospital (2023).
