I have a special interest in myofascial pain syndrome, chronic pain and quantitative imaging. My research focus is on the improvement of measurements for physical medicine applications including imaging, biochemistry, electromyography, and examination techniques, and in the development of interdisciplinary assessment approaches. I would like to develop disease specific markers for the objective and reliable identification of myofascial pain syndrome.
I aspire to develop novel analytical modes to characterize muscles and methods of evaluation and management of chronic pain. Also, develop disease specific marker(s) for myofascial pain syndrome which has the capacity to separate it from fibromyalgia.
I plan to develop innovative and objective diagnostic methods for clinicians to treat and manage patients suffering with chronic pain in the hopes of improving personalized health, reduce suffering and improve function.
