In a world subspecialists in the field of health economics, I consider myself more of a generalist with an interest in how the tools of health economics impacts decision-making. I have particular interests in health technology assessment and health economics evaluation measures, primordial prevention and cost offsets of provision of pediatric dental services and nutrition impact as they pertain to the development of systemic disease later in life, and the impact of changes in payment systems on utilization of health services and quality of care both in Canada and the United States. I have developed a nascent interest in equity and access in an era of increasing use of virtual care.
This study attempts to find if stimulus packages can be deemed cost-effective and whether shutdown measures are too restrictive resulting in massive economic shock to individuals.
