Dr. Hesham Gaafar, is a physician and health systems specialist focused on precision public health, development, and innovation. His work centers on strengthening health system strategy, governance, financing, and service delivery through data-driven and equity-focused approaches.
Dr. Gaafar has worked with international organizations including the World Health Organization and the World Bank, supporting health systems transformation across Latin America, Asia Africa, the Middle East, and Central Asia. His expertise includes climate-health integration, cancer systems strengthening, public–private partnerships, and the application of digital technologies and artificial intelligence to improve population health outcomes.
