Iman Kassam is a Program Officer in the Digital Mental Health Research Lab at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH). She is an Adjunct Lecturer at the Institute of Health Policy, Management and Evaluation at the University of Toronto. She is also the Communications Coordinator for the Ontario Nursing Informatics Group.
She actively supports and leads digital mental health research in the areas of population mental health, privacy, trust and consent, implementation sciences, and community/patient engagement. She strives to support the acceleration and adoption of digital mental health tools into clinical care through the use of design thinking, implementation science and multi-method approaches. She works with an interdisciplinary and inter-professional pan-Canadian team of policy decision makers, researchers, clinicians, patient partners and other stakeholders to support the design, development, implementation, and evaluation of digital mental health interventions (i.e., patient portals, mobile health apps, text-based interventions, etc.).
