James A. Anderson, MA, MHA, PhD, is Bioethicist in the Department of Bioethics in The Hospital for Sick Children, an Assistant Professor (Status Only) in the Institute for Health Policy, Management and Evaluation at the University of Toronto, and a bioethicist member of the Joint Centre for Bioethics, also at the University of Toronto. Dr. Anderson holds a PhD in Philosophy (2007), a Master’s in Philosophy (2002) and a Master’s in Health Administration (2001) all from Dalhousie University in Halifax, Canada. He received his BA (Hons) in Philosophy from McGill University (1998).Dr. Anderson’s research is currently focused on the ethics and epistemology of clinical decision making in paediatrics, the ethics of whole genome sequencing in paediatric care, translational research ethics, and the conceptual foundations of research ethics.
