I am a Clinician-Scientist in the Department of Medicine at University Health Network and University of Toronto. I practice as a General Internal Medicine Specialist and am a health systems and health outcomes researcher with a focus on care transitions and patient-centered outcomes. My diverse appointments at IC/ES, TGHRI, IHPME and OpenLab allow me to supervise students who have interests in mixed methods research and who may need to use large administrative datasets or conduct complex program evaluation, particularly applying the lens of intersectionality.
I led the evaluation of a discharge instruction tool co-designed with patients (PODS) which gained media interest and been spread across Ontario hospitals. I currently lead the evaluation of a new integrated care model of care on health services and patient-reported outcomes.
