Professional Interests
As a palliative care pediatrician, I sit with families as they make impossible decisions for their children. My research focuses on ways that we can make those decisions a little easier—by better understanding and improving the process of decision-making and by leveraging the incredible Ontario data resources at ICES to improve the evidence base for the care of children with life-threatening illnesses. My areas of interest include health services research to benefit children with medical complexity/neurologic impairment, as well as pediatric palliative care, end-of-life care, and bereavement care.
