I am an alumnus of the Master of Health Informatics (MHI) program, Institute of Health Policy, Measurement and Evaluation, University of Toronto, Canada. I have more than 20 years of experience as a medical doctor and an academic dermatologist. Later in my professional life, I became more interested in population health and studied epidemiology and public health and then found health informatics as a multidisciplinary field, which allowed me to use and combine my previous knowledge, skills, and experience with digital technology. For the past five years, I have worked as a health informatics consultant on a number of projects related to diabetes mellitus prevention and heart failure prediction as well as on developing clinical informatics architecture. My research interests include application of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) in healthcare and medicine, clinical research including randomized controlled trials, disease predication and prevention, global health, and healthcare system transformation.
