As Vice-President of Policy and Advocacy, Melissa is responsible for advancing the Association’s advocacy efforts in support of members and their partners. In her role, she strategically positions the OHA to deliver on its mandate of achieving a high-performing health care system. This includes providing leadership, strategic direction and oversight respecting system capacity and integration, legal and policy issues, health system funding reform, hospital-based research and education, as well as strategic communication and government relations.
Melissa has a law degree from the University of Windsor, and with more than 15 years of experience at the intersection of health care policy and the law, Melissa has a deep understanding of the complex issues facing hospitals and broader health care system in Ontario.
