Dr. Sankar is a clinician-investigator in anesthesiology and perioperative medicine who practices at St. Michael’s Hospital. He completed his undergraduate degree in Health Sciences at McMaster University and his medical degree at the University of Toronto. He then completed his Anesthesiology residency training at the University of Toronto, along with an MSc in Clinical Epidemiology and Health Care Research at the Institute of Health Policy, Management and Evaluation. Dr. Sankar currently practices the full range of clinical anesthesiology and is a CIHR-funded early career investigator with the Li Ka Shing Knowledge Institute and an Adjunct Scientist with ICES. He is interested in perioperative medicine, social determinants of health, and the surgical care of marginalized populations.
