Dr. Nicole Thomson is an occupational therapist with 20 years of healthcare leadership experience in quality, improvement science, patient safety and experience. At Waterloo Regional Health Network (WRHN) she is vice president, quality, research and patient experience and is the interim Chicopee Site Lead.
Nicole is a Certified Health Executive with the Canadian College of Health Leaders and a Certified Professional in Patient Safety, with experience in global healthcare consulting. She has led projects focused on redesigning interprofessional models of care, clinical governance, and outcome measurement. She has also been a co-investigator on several funded research projects, including a CIHR-SSHRC Partnership Grant and an Integrated Knowledge Translation Grant funded by CIHR.
Nicole is an affiliate member and faculty in the certificate program at the Centre for Quality Improvement and Patient Safety and a surveyor for Accreditation Canada.
