Dr. Dan Wang is an Associate professor at the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College (CMCC), specializing in biostatistics, research methodology, and epidemiology. She holds a PhD in Public Health and a MSc in Epidemiology and Biostatistics from The Chinese University of Hong Kong, along with a BMed from Southern Medical University, China. Dr. Wang further enriched her expertise through postdoctoral training at the Institute for Disability and Rehabilitation Research, Ontario Tech University.
Dr. Wang’s research focuses on evidence-based strategies for promoting prevention and rehabilitation care, with particular emphasis on non-pharmaceutical interventions and health outcomes such as functional wellness, frailty, and disability. She has been actively collaborating in rehabilitation, disability research, and urban health. Since 2019, Dr. Wang has spearheaded impactful projects, including CCRF-funded initiatives on healthcare utilization among Canadians with musculoskeletal disorders, a CIHR-funded project on unmet rehabilitation needs during the COVID-19 pandemic, and collaborations with Cochrane Rehabilitation to enhance outcome reporting in rehabilitation trials.
Dr. Wang also plays an active role on the CMCC Research Ethics Board since 2023 and mentors students pursuing careers in public health and chiropractic professions at various academic levels.
