Jessica J. Wong is an Epidemiologist and Assistant Professor (status-only) at the Institute of Health Policy, Management and Evaluation at the University of Toronto. She is a Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR) Research Excellence, Diversity and Independence (REDI) Awardee at the Institute for Disability and Rehabilitation Research in the Faculty of Health Sciences at Ontario Tech University. Jessica leads a program of research in aging, musculoskeletal health, and rehabilitation. Her research focuses on developing innovative strategies to address unmet healthcare needs and improve equitable access-to-care for people in need of rehabilitation, including aging adults with musculoskeletal conditions. She leverages a range of epidemiologic and knowledge synthesis methods, which includes population-based studies using linked population health survey and administrative data, and systematic and scoping reviews of the literature. She co-designs her research alongside knowledge users, including people with lived experience, to co-create knowledge and ensure that the research is relevant and meaningful. Her postdoctoral research was also supported by a Banting Postdoctoral Fellowship and AGE-WELL Michael F. Harcourt Policy Fellowship.
