With an extensive background in healthcare services planning as a former Partner for 39 years in one of Canada’s leading healthcare consulting firms, Lucy offers uncommonly deep knowledge of Canadian health care systems and organizations. Having provided strategic, management and facility planning advisory services to more than one hundred and fifty client organizations in six provinces, she assisted Boards of Directors and leadership teams to incorporate major changes in healthcare delivery with a focus on advancing quality, safety and performance, improving patient and family experiences, and creating operationally effective environments.

She led subject matter expertise assignments in strategic planning, facility planning and clinical services planning and developed 1000+credible planning reports (e.g., corporate strategic plans, service delivery models, clinical strategic directions, operational directions, facility assessments, options analysis and business cases, functional programs and output specifications) with a high potential for implementation and positioned for approval by government authorities.

Lucy prides herself on being a strategic and critical thinker with exceptional service, ideation and facilitation skills and creating strong relationships and conversations that build creativity and innovation.

As an Adjunct Professor and Senior Fellow with the Institute of Health Policy, Management and Evaluation, Lucy shares leadership insights and provides lectures on the role of clinical leaders in capital planning.
