Mark Fam is a seasoned health-system leader and executive with over 25 years of experience across hospital, provincial agency, and private consulting environments. He currently serves as President and CEO of Oak Valley Health (OVH), where he leads strategic planning, clinical and operational integration, financial stewardship, capital redevelopment, and major organizational transformation initiatives.
A Certified Health Executive (CHE) and holder of the ICD.D designation, Mark brings extensive expertise in system-level governance, fiscal management, value-based models of care, and community-focused service planning. His leadership has emphasized performance improvement, quality, operational excellence, and long-term sustainability across complex health-care settings.
He has taught in the Master’s program at IHPME for 12 years, and is now teaching the course Competition, Cooperation and Strategy in Health Care, where he supports learners in understanding strategic behaviour across health-care markets and systems.
