Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, academic medicine has vastly expanded the use of many new virtual care technologies as a way to continue delivering care, research, education and operational activities.
This study is exploring the impact of this shift at the level operations and professional and institutional identity in four distinct clinical sites in UHN and SickKids with the goal of identifying any educational affordances, i.e. ways health professions education can change to address new competencies required.
