Looking to take a course at IHPME? See below for enrolment instructions for non-IHPME students.

Enrolling in IHPME Courses

There is a two course maximum for non-IHPME students.

Enrolment steps for non-IHPME students:

1. Review the online course description page for relevant information about the course (e.g. prerequisites, link to instructor information, etc.).
2. Review the timetable to ensure you have no conflicts with the course schedule.
3. Contact the course instructor by email to request tentative permission to enrol in their course.
4. Complete the SGS Add/Drop Course Form. It requires both your signature and the signature of your home department’s Graduate Coordinator or Chair. (Typed signatures are not acceptable). You can leave the “Host Instructor” signature field blank if we receive the instructor’s confirmation email along with the form.
5. Forward your completed form with the confirmation email from the instructor to the relevant Program Assistant. IHPME students have enrolment priority. You will be added to the waitlist until it is confirmed that spots are available for external students.  
6. If there is space and you are enrolled in the course, your home department may need to approve your enrolment. Once approved, your course status will change from requested “REQ” to approved “APP” on ACORN.
7. One to two days after being approved, and after the instructor publishes the course, you will be able to access the course materials on Quercus.
