Systems Innovation Capstone Paper

Pre-requisite

Students must have successfully completed HAD2040Y and obtained approval from their respective capstone project course instructors before enrolling in HAD2030H.

Description

This elective course is a continuation of HAD2040Y (Systems Innovation Capstone). This course requires
students to prepare the results of their capstone project as a manuscript in a format acceptable for
publication in a peer-reviewed journal, though it need not necessarily be accepted for publication
to receive credit for the course.

Objectives

By the end of this course, students should be able to
• Write scholarly abstracts
• Prepare an academic manuscript based on journal requirements
• Appreciate the scientific writing and publishing processes
• Identify critical elements required to write clear, concise and evidence-based academic publications.
• Submit a manuscript for publication.
• Respond effectively to reviewers’ comments.
