CIHI 101 – How CIHI can make your life better

Abstract: The Canadian Institute for Health Information (CIHI) provides comparable and actionable data and information that are used to accelerate improvements in health care, health system performance and population health across Canada.   It has a broad range of health system databases, measurements, standards, evidence-based reports and analyses that may be of interest to those inclined to quantitative health services analysis. Come hear what CIHI has to offer and how you can access it to make your life better.

Sara Allin will act as a discussant and provide illustrative examples of her experiences as a researcher working with CIHI data, reports and analyses.

Saul Melamed has been on a self-guided tour of Ontario’s healthcare system for almost 20 years.  He’s enjoyed working with hospitals, community children and youth mental health providers, the Ministry of Health and Long-term Care, the LHINs, Cancer Care Ontario and now CIHI.  In his current role he’s responsible for CIHI’s Stakeholder Management in the Ontario context.
