Conflict of Interest in Academic Medicine: Transparency and the Journey to Relationship Management

Conflict of interest in academic medicine has received a lot of attention recently in Canada and internationally. Industry plays an important role health care education, clinical care, and research. Industry’s relationship with physicians, hospitals, patients, researchers, healthcare learners, academic faculty, and journal authors can be complex and potentially challenging if not carefully examined. Join us for a discussion on conflict of interest in academic medicine featuring speakers from industry, the Faculty of Medicine, and research hospitals to learn about how these stakeholders are addressing conflict of interest issues in ground-breaking ways.
