Monitoring Population Health: What Can Ontario and New York Learn from Each Other?
Presented by IHPME, DLSPH and the School of Public Policy & Governance
Ontario and New York have much in common–a border, cultural and economic characteristics and, perhaps surprisingly, health system challenges and objectives. Both are engaged in high profile initiatives to transform their health care systems into integrated, sustainable, outcomes-based, people-centered systems. This panel will explore what the neighbors can learn from each other about monitoring the health of their populations in order to facilitate a more ambitious health reform agenda.
Moderated by Dr. Greg Marchildon, Professor and Ontario Research Chair, IHPME
Panelists include:
- Dr. Peter Donnelly, President and CEO, Public Health Ontario
- Jason Helgerson, Deputy Health Commissioner and Medicaid Director, New York State
- Cheryl Camillo, Visiting Fullbright Scholar
Location: Health Sciences Building room 106, 155 College Street, Toronto
