Manav V. Vyas

I am a neurologist and a clinician-scientist at the St. Michael’s Hospital Research Institute. I am an assistant professor at the University of Toronto in the division of neurology, faculty of medicine, and an adjunct ICES scientist. My research evaluates and addresses inequalities in health, with a focus on neurological disorders, including stroke. I build on thesis work on immigrant health to study the influence of various social determinants of health on neurological health using linked administrative health data and qualitative methods. The goal is to develop interventions that help mitigate social disparities in health.
