As the Regional Director for Ontario and Atlantic Canada at the Health Standards Organization (HSO), Sean leads the development and execution of regional strategies to advance HSO’s mission: empowering and enabling people to continuously improve quality of care. Driven by the belief that a more equitable and empathetic healthcare experience is achievable, he leverages over 20 years of values-based leadership in healthcare transformation, innovation, and strategic execution across all levels of the health system. His expertise in quality is applied through an approach that integrates service design into the health quality agenda. He is a Certified Health Executive (CHE) and an Adjunct Lecturer at the University of Toronto’s Institute of Health Policy, Management and Evaluation (IHPME), where he teaches design, AI, and quality. Sean is passionate about building a more compassionate and sustainable health system that Canadians can be proud of, and that the rest of the world can benefit from.
