Brian Chun-Fai Chan

Brian C.F. Chan, PhD, is a Lead for forecasting and modelling at the Canadian Partnership Against Cancer. Brian is also an Assistant Professor at the Institute of Health Policy, Management and Evaluation at the University of Toronto. He received his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Pharmacology at the University of Toronto in 2001 and 2003 respectively. After graduating, Brian was a research assistant at the Health Outcomes and PharmacoEconomics Research Centre. He returned to the University of Toronto to pursue his Doctorate of Philosophy earned in 2017. His doctoral work examined the “Economic burden of chronic ulcers”. After graduating, Brian has worked as a Health Economist for Health Quality Ontario, Post-doctoral fellow and then Affiliate Scientist at KITE – Toronto Rehabilitation Institute and Senior Principal Health Economist at the Institute of Health Economics.
