I retired as the President and Chief Executive Officer of Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre in July 2017. My previous clinical and academic positions were as an Emergency Physician and Trauma Team Leader (at Sunnybrook) and I was the previously the Chief Coroner for the Province of Ontario. I am currently working part time as an Investigating Coroner. I am a Professor in the Department of Surgery (status only) in the Faculty of Medicine, University of Toronto. I am a healthcare consultant, providing consulting services to both government and the private sector. I continue to mentor medical students, physicians who are advancing in leadership positions and senior healthcare leaders. I am a regular guest lecturer in the Faculty of Medicine and the Dalla Lana School of Public Health with a focus on healthcare leadership.
