This program of research explores various opportunities to address the barriers to timely surgical care in Canadian health systems.

Projects include:

  1. Evaluation of single-entry models using administrative health data to model different types of referral networks;
  2. Understanding perspectives on the use of single-entry models among specialists, referring physicians, and the public;
  3. Evaluation of existing single-entry models such as Ontario Hip and Knee Rapid Access Clinics (RACs);
  4. Evaluating the role of different delivery models for surgical services.
