This at a glance guide will help you navigate what to expect in the MSc HSLI program. See timetables for more precise schedule information, and course descriptions especially for elective prerequisites, ensuring you fulfill the requirements.
This program is generally structured as a part-time program to accommodate student’s clinical duties. If you need to select the Full-time option, please contact IHPME Admissions ihpme.admissions@utoronto.ca to discuss the details.

Year 1 (part-time)

  • Program starts in summer (first week of May)
  • Students should ensure to enroll in their courses on Acorn

Attend HAD2007H

Plan capstone project for HAD2040Y (official course enrollment starts in Fall)

Consider elective option(s): HAD2002H, HAD2003H or HAD4000H-F1.

Attend HAD2001H and HAD2006H

Enroll in HAD2040Y (continuous self learning capstone project course)

Consider HAD2004H elective (Full year course Fall and Winter).

Attend HAD2012H and HAD2009H*

*Students have to take HAD2009H or HAD2013H. If students take both Health Economics courses, one will be counted as an elective course​.

Continue HAD2040Y

Consider elective options: HAD2008H, HAD2005H, and continue HAD2004H (Full year course Fall and Winter).

Year 2 (part-time)

Attend HAD2013H

Complete HAD2040Y capstone project.

Consider elective options: HAD2002H, HAD2003H or HAD4000H-F1.

Take any remaining elective. Consider elective option: HAD2030H.

Year 1 (full-time)
